Why do we ask your age?
Long answer: from 1 January 2026, Danish tax rules mean VAT applies to fitness training for people aged 30+.
We believe movement shouldn’t have an age — and fitness probably shouldn’t be taxed either. But until the rules change, this is us playing by them.
If you’re under 30, VAT does not apply. If you’re 30 or over, VAT is already included in your price.
Good news: if you’re over 30, you may be eligible to reclaim part of your fitness expenses as a tax deduction via the Danish government’s health and wellness tax scheme. Check with SKAT or your accountant for details.

Questions about pricing
How much does reformer Pilates cost in Aarhus at Sink Reformer?
Memberships at Sink Reformer start at 495 DKK a month for 30 and over (incl. VAT) and 396 DKK a month under 30. A single class costs 150 DKK (120 DKK under 30) and there is no sign-up fee.
How much is a trial class?
A trial class costs 100 DKK for 30 and over (incl. VAT) and 80 DKK under 30. It is a one-off class for new clients and is valid for 30 days.
What is the difference between the trial class and First Taste of Sink?
The trial class is one single class. First Taste of Sink is our new client offer: 4 reformer classes to use within 3 weeks plus a pair of Sink grip socks, for 449 DKK (360 DKK under 30). The price is credited towards a membership if you join.
Why are prices different for under 30 and over 30?
From 1 January 2026, Danish VAT applies to fitness training for people aged 30 and over. Over 30 prices include VAT, and under 30s pay no VAT. Your age is saved in your member profile, so checkout shows your price automatically.
Is there a sign-up fee?
No. There is no sign-up fee on any membership or class pass at Sink Reformer.
How do I cancel my membership?
The notice period is the rest of the current month plus one month. Email info@sinkreformer.com to cancel.
Do you offer student or senior discounts?
Students get 20% off memberships with code SINKSTUDENT26 and a valid student ID, renewed every 12 months. Seniors 65+ and unemployed clients get a reduced rate with valid documentation, renewed every 3 months. Email your documentation to info@sinkreformer.com.
Can I deduct reformer Pilates on my taxes?
If you are 30 or over, you may be able to deduct part of your fitness costs through the Danish health and wellness tax scheme. Check with SKAT or your accountant for details.
